Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese system of self-healing and health care. Qigong works by correcting imbalances and blockages of the Qi within the body. Documented Qi Gong practices date back over 2500 years to ancient China and in particular the Yellow Emperor. Imbalances and blockages of the Qi within the body will occur throughout our lifetime as a result of poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, injuries, surgery, suppression of emotions, and aging.
Qi Gong is practiced with specific body movements and energetic positive positions combined with deep regulated breathing and a stabilized, focused, spiritual conscious state of mind.
When practiced in this fashion, Qi Gong will enable the external body to be strengthened in a noninvasive, functional manner through stretching movements, joint rotations, and holding stances and positions. Qi Gong will enable the internal body to strengthen and regulate the internal organs, the nervous system, and the immune system. Qi Gong will enable the mind to reduce “clutter” (busy mind) and focus on reducing unnecessary thoughts. With regular practice, Qi Gong will strengthen the body, mind, and spirit causing natural relief of pain, detoxification, balance of emotional state, and stress reduction.
